Brewers 3, Mets 1:
Jonathan Lucroy collected three hits and an RBI and Wily Peralta pitched effectively into the seventh inning as visiting Milwaukee evened the series at one game apiece.

Carlos Gomez had a pair of hits and an RBI and Jean Segura singled home the go-ahead run as the Brewers improved to 4-3 on an eight-game road trip that concludes Thursday against the Mets. Peralta (6-5) won his second straight start, allowing one run on four hits over 6 1/3 innings, and Francisco Rodriguez worked a perfect ninth for his 20th save.

Curtis Granderson went 2-for-3 and Lucas Duda drove in the lone run with a sacrifice fly for New York, which tumbled to its seventh loss in eight games. Rookie Jacob deGrom (0-3) permitted three runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings to remain winless in six major-league starts.

After Duda's sacrifice fly in the second opened the scoring, the Brewers answered in their next at-bat when Scooter Gennett led off with a double, moved to third on a flyout and scored on Lucroy's groundout. Aramis Ramirez doubled to lead off the fourth and eventually came home on Segura's single for a 2-1 lead.

Milwaukee got the lead runner aboard again in the fifth on a walk to Ryan Braun and it led to another run on Lucroy's double and Gomez's infield single. New York's only other scoring chance came in the fourth on Granderson's one-out double, but he was stranded at third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gomez extended his hitting streak to nine games and has reached base in 26 consecutive contests while Lucroy ran his hitting streak to seven games and boosted his batting average to .341. ... Mets manager Terry Collins was ejected in the fifth inning for arguing a challenge on C Taylor Teagarden's groundout that was upheld by replay. ... Mets RHP Dillon Gee (strained right lat), who has been on the disabled list since May 11, is expected to throw off a mound this weekend.
