Brewers 5, Yankees 4: Jonathan Lucroy slugged a two-run homer and scored twice while Kyle Lohse was strong through six innings as host Milwaukee snapped a three-game skid.

Carlos Gomez and Aramis Ramirez had solo blasts and Rickie Weeks drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh for the Brewers, who tied a season high with their three home runs. Lohse allowed two earned runs in six innings and three relievers - including winner Zach Duke (3-0) - bridged the gap to Francisco Rodriguez, who worked a perfect ninth for his 15th save in as many chances.

Mark Teixeira slugged a solo homer and Brett Gardner tripled in a run and scored for New York. Three of the four runs allowed by starter CC Sabathia were unearned, as the big lefty was unable to recover from an early error.

Gomez homered to lead off the bottom of the first inning, but New York took a 2-1 lead in the third on Gardner's triple and a run-scoring single by Carlos Beltran. Sabathia got the first two outs of the bottom half before a miscue by shortstop Brendan Ryan gave Lucroy a chance, and the Brewers catcher launched a two-run shot to center to give the Brewers the lead.

Ramirez, who later left with a hamstring strain, followed with his fifth of the year to make it 4-2 and improve to 12-for-21 in his career against Sabathia. New York pulled even on Teixeira's home run and a pinch-hit RBI single by Alfonso Soriano , but Lucroy doubled against Alfredo Aceves (0-1) in the seventh and scored the decisive run on Weeks' base hit to left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Sabathia was pitching in Miller Park for the first time since leading the Brewers into the playoffs as a wild card entrant in 2008. ... Ramirez was injured ranging to his left for a grounder in the fourth. ... Teixeira has 11 RBIs in his last 11 games.
