Phillies 7, Marlins 4: Marlon Byrd belted a two-run homer and Cody Asche continued his torrid stretch by ripping a two-run double as host Philadelphia snapped its three-game losing streak.

Byrd also scored on two occasions and Jimmy Rollins had two hits and came around on an error as the Phillies evened the four-game series at one victory apiece. Ben Revere and Asche each scored on a wild pitch in the win.

David Buchanan (4-3) won his third straight start after allowing two runs on six hits in five innings. Fellow rookie Andrew Heaney was not as fortunate as he permitted five runs on four hits in five innings to take the loss in his second career start.

After Rollins opened the scoring in the first inning, Byrd deposited a 1-2 fastball from Heaney (0-2) over the wall in center field for his 13th homer - and third in seven games. Ed Lucas' sacrifice fly in the second trimmed the deficit, but Revere tripled and scored on Heaney's wild pitch in the bottom half.

Casey McGehee's sacrifice fly cut Philadelphia's lead to 4-2, but Asche doubled the advantage in the sixth by jumping on a first-pitch fastball from reliever Bryan Morris to plate a pair. Garrett Jones belted a two-run homer to pull the Marlins within 7-4 in the eighth, but Jonathan Papelbon retired the side in the ninth for his 18th save.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Phillies OF Tony Gwynn Jr. received a standing ovation prior to his pinch-hitting assignment in the eighth inning. Gwynn was making his first appearance since the death of his Hall-of-Fame father. ... Asche, who had three hits in the series opener, is 7-for-19 since returning from the disabled list. ... Philadelphia signed OF Grady Sizemore to a minor-league contract and will send him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday. Sizemore was released by Boston last Wednesday.
