Dodgers 7, Mets 4: Adrian Gonzalez homered and matched a season high with five RBIs as Los Angeles rolled past visiting New York for its third straight win.

Zack Greinke (13-8) showed no ill effects from a sore elbow that pushed his start back two days while holding the Mets to four runs (three earned) over seven innings. Kenley Jansen worked a scoreless ninth for his 37th save as the Dodgers moved 4 1/2 games ahead of San Francisco in the National League West.

Juan Lagares snapped a 227 at-bat homerless streak with a three-run blast in the fourth for the Mets, who have lost six straight in Los Angeles and 13 of their last 15 games overall against the Dodgers. New York’s Jacob deGrom (6-6) came off the disabled list and yielded five runs over six frames in his first start since Aug. 7.

Los Angeles scored twice in the fourth and pulled ahead 5-3 on Gonzalez’s three-run homer with two out in the fifth. Gonzalez, who entered the game with four hits in his last 24 at-bats, recorded his fourth career five-RBI game and moved into second place in the National League with 88 RBIs.

Lucas Duda cut the deficit to 5-4 with a leadoff homer in the sixth, but the Mets stranded runners at the corners in the seventh when Greinke struck out David Wright to end the inning. The Dodgers added two insurance runs in their half of the seventh as Miguel Rojas scored on Scott Van Slyke’s infield single and Gonzalez followed with a run-scoring sacrifice fly.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Los Angeles OF Carl Crawford drew two walks in a game for the first time since April 21, 2013. … Wright, who went 0-for-5 and grounded into two double plays, is hitting .211 with eight RBIs in 34 games since the All-Star break. … Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez (oblique) is expected to be activated from the disabled list prior to Sunday’s series finale.
