White Sox 4, Indians 3:
Dayan Viciedo hit a go-ahead, three-run home run in the top of the ninth as Chicago stormed back to stun host Cleveland and avoid a three-game sweep.

Corey Kluber struck out a career-high 13 over eight dominant innings before the Indians brought on John Axford (0-2) to start the ninth. The veteran right-hander walked a pair in front of Viciedo, who drove a 2-2 fastball out to right to put the White Sox on top and make a winner out of Daniel Webb (2-0) in relief.

Jose Abreu added his league-leading 12th home run for the White Sox, who overcame a rough start from Andre Rienzo with 4 1/3 scoreless innings from the bullpen capped by Matt Lindstrom’s fourth save. George Kottaras, who was recalled on Saturday to cover Yan Gomes’ paternity leave, homered twice in his team debut for Cleveland.

Abreu gave the White Sox a quick lead with a line shot into the stands in left in the first before Kluber settled in, striking out a franchise-record seven straight between the third and fifth innings. Kottaras got that run back in the third with a towering fly to right that drifted in the wind and ended up over the wall for his first homer.

Michael Brantley scored the go-ahead run in the third on Lonnie Chisenhall’s bloop single to left and Kottaras made it 3-1 in the following frame with a solo drive to right. Kluber, who set his previous career high with 11 strikeouts against Kansas City on April 24, faced the minimum over his final three innings before Axford came on.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The White Sox added OF Moises Sierra to the active roster and sent 3B Conor Gillaspie to Triple-A Charlotte. … Cleveland recalled CF Nyjer Morgan from Triple-A Columbus and optioned LHP Nick Hagadone. … The Indians continue their homestand by hosting the Minnesota Twins on Monday while Chicago heads across town for an interleague series at the Cubs.
