Phillies 2, Braves 1: Jimmy Rollins broke a scoreless tie with a two-run homer in the seventh inning and Cole Hamels won for the second time in his last eight starts as visiting Philadelphia evened the three-game series.

Rollins hit his 12th homer into the front row of the right-field seats off Shae Simmons (1-1). Hamels (4-5) gave up one run on four hits with nine strikeouts and no walks in seven innings, Grady Sizemore collected three hits and Jonathan Papelbon earned his 23rd save with a perfect ninth.

Chris Johnson doubled home his team's only run in the seventh as the Braves’ three-game winning streak came to an end. Atlanta had scored 27 runs in its previous three contests but finished with only five hits.

Sizemore doubled to center with one out in the seventh and Rollins deposited a 2-2 pitch just over the wall in right to put Philadelphia ahead 2-0. Atlanta answered in the bottom of the frame on Johnson’s two-out line-drive double that ricocheted off All-Star second baseman Chase Utley’s glove and rolled into short left-center field, scoring Justin Upton, but Hamels struck out Tommy La Stella to end the inning.

Hamels kept the Braves hitless for 4 2/3 frames before La Stella lined a double to left-center. Atlanta starter Aaron Harang held the Phillies to five hits in six scoreless innings, working out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Atlanta RF Jason Heyward finished hitless in two at-bats, snapping his eight-game hitting streak. … Sizemore is 8-for-20 in five games with Philadelphia after going 4-for-30 in his final nine contests with Boston. … Atlanta optioned LHP Luis Avilan to Triple-A Gwinnett before the game and promoted LHP Chasen Shreve from Double-A Mississippi. Shreve gave up two hits and struck out one in two-thirds of an inning in his major-league debut.
