Manny Machado homered for the third straight day, Nick Markakis had a pair of hits and scored twice and Ryan Flaherty added a three-run blast in the ninth for the Orioles. Reliever Evan Meek (0-3) gave up four runs on three hits in one inning to suffer the loss.

The Rays took control in the sixth as Kiermaier homered with one out, Zobrist doubled with two down and Joyce drove him in with a single to center field. Evan Longoria was intentionally walked, James Loney doubled in a pair, Brandon Guyer followed with an RBI bloop double to right and Forsythe homered to left-center for a 10-4 lead.

Machado slammed a two-run blast to the opposite field in right to give the Orioles a 3-2 lead in the fourth. The Rays tied it in the fifth on Zobrist’s solo homer off starter Miguel Gonzalez, who gave up three runs in 4 2/3 innings, but Baltimore went back ahead on a two-out passed ball by Jose Molina in the bottom of the frame.
