Diamondbacks 12, Rockies 7: Chris Owings drove in four runs and hit a two-run homer among his three hits as visiting Arizona handed Colorado its seventh straight loss while sweeping a series for the first time this season.

Paul Goldschmidt (two RBIs) and Miguel Montero added solo shots for the Diamondbacks, who had 18 hits one night after recording 21 in a 16-8 victory. Bronson Arroyo (5-4) yielded four runs in 6 1/3 innings and Oliver Perez retired pinch-hitter Justin Morneau with the bases loaded to end the seventh and preserve Arizona's 7-6 lead.

Troy Tulowitzki, Charlie Blackmon and Brandon Barnes (inside the park) hit solo homers for the Rockies, who have lost four straight at home for the first time since 2012. Juan Nicasio (5-4) lost for the first time in seven home starts after allowing seven runs and 11 hits - both season highs - in 5 1/3 innings.

Arizona's first four batters recorded hits but Nicasio yielded only Martin Prado's sacrifice fly after Goldschmidt's infield hit knocked in the first run as the Diamondbacks took a 2-0 lead. Montero's seventh homer came with two outs in the third and Goldschmidt led off the fifth with a towering shot - his 11th - to move Arizona in front 5-1.

Tulowitzki's 16th homer cut the deficit to 7-3 in the sixth before Colorado scored three in the seventh on RBI singles by Drew Stubbs, Michael Cuddyer and Corey Dickerson. Owings crushed Chris Martin's 1-0 offering out to left in the eighth to make it 9-6 and secure Arizona's first series sweep at Coors Field since 2008.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Barnes, pinch-hitting in the eighth, hit a shot off the center-field wall that bounded away from Ender Inciarte and he raced across the plate as the relay throw sailed wide. ... Goldschmidt has 43 RBIs in 49 games versus Colorado while Montero, who drove in a career-best six runs Wednesday, has 36 RBIs in 41 contests at Coors Field. ... The Rockies placed RHP Jordan Lyles, who broke his left hand Wednesday, and LHP Boone Logan (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list, and recalled RHP Martin from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
