Diamondbacks 18, Dodgers 7: Paul Goldschmidt homered twice and collected a career-high six RBIs as host Arizona outslugged Los Angeles by recording a franchise record in runs and a season-best 21 hits.

A.J. Pollock also went deep and matched Goldschmidt with four hits while Martin Prado added three of his own and drove in three runs. Cliff Pennington ripped a two-run triple to ignite a seven-run second inning while Pollock and Chris Owings also found their way to third to mark the first time in franchise history the Diamondbacks recorded three triples in an inning.

Arizona batted around in the second as Clayton Kershaw (2-1) issued his second walk to Cody Ross in the frame before departing. The two-time National League Cy Young Award winner suffered his fifth straight loss at Chase Field, permitting seven runs on six hits in 1 2/3 innings.

Yasiel Puig belted a two-run homer in the third off Chase Anderson (2-0) to extend his career-high hitting streak to 16 games. The blast was the second in as many days for Puig, who has recorded an extra-base hit and an RBI in each of the last eight contests.

Carl Crawford's three-run homer in the sixth chased Anderson, who yielded five runs on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings in his second major-league start. Andre Ethier's two-run double off Evan Marshall trimmed the Diamondbacks' lead to 9-7, but Goldschmidt belted a three-run homer in the seventh and went deep again in the following frame to put the game out of reach.
