Twins 6, Angels 3: Trevor Plouffe had two hits and drove in three runs as Minnesota snapped a 10-game slide at home with a victory over Los Angeles in a makeup game.

Josmil Pinto collected three doubles and an RBI while Pedro Florimon and Ryan Doumit both had two hits and an RBI for the Twins, who improved to 5-1 versus the Angels. The Twins scored the final five runs and their bullpen combined for 4 1/3 scoreless innings, with Casey Fien (4-2) getting the win and Glen Perkins picking up his 33rd save.

Kole Calhoun hit a run-scoring double in the fourth and Josh Hamilton did the same in the fifth as Los Angeles built a 3-1 lead before falling for only the second time in their last 11 road games.

Pinto had a run-scoring double in the third against Angels starter Jered Weaver to give Minnesota an early lead. After Los Angeles scored its three runs in the middle innings, Plouffe delivered a game-tying two-run single with two outs in the fifth.

Cory Rasmus (0-1) relieved Weaver to start the seventh and the Twins quickly loaded the bases on two walks and an error before Plouffe lofted a sacrifice fly to right field to score Brian Dozier and make it 4-3. A bases-loaded walk to Florimon later in the frame capped the rally, and Doumit singled in a run in the eighth to finish the scoring.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Weaver was charged with three runs and nine hits in six innings. Minnesota starter Pedro Hernandez gave up three runs and eight hits in 4 2/3 frames. ...
