Rays 4, Blue Jays 3: Luke Scott and Kelly Johnson hit back-to-back homers to snap a tie in the sixth inning and Chris Archer pitched seven strong innings as visiting Tampa Bay completed a three-game sweep.

Scott’s two-run blast made it 3-1 and Johnson hit the next pitch into the second deck as the Rays improved to 20-4 since June 23, matching the club’s best 24-game stretch since 2004. Archer (5-3) allowed one run on five hits and four walks to win his fourth straight decision and Fernando Rodney gave up two runs in the ninth before securing his 24th save.

Jose Reyes’ two-run double brought the Blue Jays within a run in the final inning, but Rodney escaped by retiring three of the last four hitters to end the game. Toronto starter R.A. Dickey (8-11) yielded four runs and seven hits over six innings, dropping to 2-1 in four outings against the Rays this season.

Melky Cabrera, activated from the disabled list Sunday, singled with one out in the second and scored on Josh Thole’s ground-rule double to give the Jays a 1-0 lead. Evan Longoria tied the game with an opposite-field solo blast to right on the first pitch of the fourth inning from Dickey.

Scott extended his career-high hitting streak to 13 games and recorded his first hit in 13 career at-bats against Dickey with his home run to right field on a 3-2 knuckleball. Johnson, who also had a double earlier in the game, followed with his 15th homer of the season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Tampa Bay 1B James Loney was 1-for-4 after being activated from the paternity list Sunday and INF Ryan Roberts was optioned to Triple-A Durham to open up the spot on the roster. … Former 1B Carlos Delgado was honored before the game in a ceremony and inducted as the 10th member of the Toronto Blue Jays Level of Excellence. That caused the game to be delayed 24 minutes from the originally scheduled start time. … Rays rookie RF Wil Myers sat out with a sore left wrist, but he could be ready to play Monday at Boston.
