Athletics 11, Rangers 4: Josh Donaldson belted a three-run homer to cap a six-run sixth and Jarrod Parker tossed six solid innings to extend his unbeaten streak to 18 outings as host Oakland moved into a tie with Texas atop the American League West.

Coco Crisp swatted a two-run shot to complete a four-RBI performance while Brandon Moss and Daric Barton also launched two-run homers. Stephen Vogt and Barton each collected two hits and scored twice for the Athletics, who posted their fifth victory in six games while handing the Rangers their fourth loss in six contests.

Moss opened the scoring in the first inning by jumping on a 1-0 cutter from Yu Darvish (12-7) and depositing it over the wall in right field for his 26th homer - and fifth in nine games. Barton ended Darvish's day and gave the Athletics a 5-2 lead in the sixth by drilling a 2-2 slider over the fence in right-center for his second blast.

Donaldson provided the exclamation point by hitting his 20th homer off Robbie Ross, who did not retire a batter in relief of Darvish. He was charged with four runs on as many hits.

Parker (11-6) improved to 9-0 during his unbeaten stretch and passed Catfish Hunter for the longest run in Oakland history. Parker upped his record to 6-1 against Texas as he allowed two runs on five hits with four strikeouts.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Darvish fell to 1-5 versus Oakland after permitting five runs on as many hits and walking six in five-plus innings. ... C Geovany Soto homered to lead off the ninth inning and CF Leonys Martin had an RBI double in the third for the Rangers, who played without SS Elvis Andrus (back) for the fourth straight game. ... Texas continues its six-game road trip on Friday with the opener of a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels. Oakland continues its 10-game homestand Thursday, when it begins a four-game set with Houston.
