Brewers 4, Mets 2 (10): Carlos Gomez capped a four-hit performance with an RBI bloop single the 10th inning as visiting Milwaukee posted its third straight 4-2 victory over New York.

Gomez homered for the third time in five games and Yuniesky Betancourt added a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the eighth inning and an RBI single in the 10th. Scooter Gennett had a pair of singles for the Brewers, who have won six of seven.

Caleb Gindl worked a four-pitch walk to lead off the 10th inning against Scott Atchison (3-3) before advancing to third on Jonathan Lucroy's single up the middle. Gomez floated a first-pitch curveball into shallow right-center field to plate Gindl before Betancourt capped the scoring with a line-drive single to right.

Eric Young Jr. ripped an RBI single over the third-base bag to forge a 2-2 tie in the ninth inning. Donovan Hand (1-5) was credited with his first major-league victory after failing to secure his first career save - that honor went to Alfredo Figaro, who retired the side in the 10th.

Gomez snapped a scoreless tie in the fourth inning after depositing a 3-2 hanging slider from Aaron Harang just inside the left-field foul pole for his 24th homer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Milwaukee RHP Jimmy Nelson made his first major-league start, but settled for a no-decision despite allowing one run on as many hits in five innings. Harang permitted one run on five hits in six frames. ... Mets CF Juan Lagares collected his 14th assist and preserved a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning after throwing out Lucroy at the plate. ... Milwaukee SS Jean Segura returned after being sidelined nine games with a strained left hamstring. Segura remained tied with New York LF Eric Young Jr. as neither stole a base in the contest. The pair lead the National League with 44 thefts.
