Athletics 10, Angels 6:
Yoenis Cespedes drove in four runs and Seth Smith finished with three RBIs as host Oakland blew the game open in the middle innings to win its second straight in the three-game series.

Cespedes tripled and doubled for the Athletics, who beat the Angels in a 19-inning, 6-hour, 32-minute game the night before, the longest in franchise history for both clubs. Smith, Derek Norris and Eric Sogard contributed two hits apiece for Oakland, and starting pitcher Jarrod Parker (1-4) worked six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) and six hits.

Mike Trout doubled, tripled and drove in four runs for the Angels and J.B. Shuck added two hits and two runs scored. Angels starter Garrett Richards (1-2) went 5 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs and eight hits.

The teams twice traded leads before the Athletics scored three runs in the fifth and four in the sixth to take a 9-3 advantage. Cespedes highlighted the fifth inning with a two-run triple and Smith’s three-run double capped the sixth.

The Angels pushed across three runs in the seventh, the last on a solo homer by Mark Trumbo, but Sean Doolittle came on in relief and ended the threat by striking out Hank Conger.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Angels put OF Peter Bourjos on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring, which occurred during extra innings Monday night, and activated SS Erick Aybar (bruised left heel). They also recalled OF Scott Cousins from Triple-A Salt Lake and sent down LHP Michael Roth. … The Athletics also lost OFs Coco Crisp and Chris Young to leg injuries during extra innings Monday. Neither was available for Tuesday’s game, but the Athletics weren’t ready to place them on the disabled list. Oakland SS Jed Lowrie also sat out Tuesday’s game with a stiff neck. … Angels LHP Nick Maronde relieved Richards in the sixth and walked John Jaso on four pitches, including a wild pitch that scored Norris for a 6-3 lead. He was removed after intentionally walking Adam Rosales, finishing with one strike among his nine pitches.
