Marlins 14, Phillies 2: Adeiny Hechavarria tied a franchise record with seven RBIs as visiting Miami jumped all over struggling Roy Halladay to gain a split of a four-game series.

Hechavarria, who entered hitting .186 and had 18 RBIs in 185 career at-bats, capped a five-run first inning with a three-run triple and then chased Halladay (2-4) in the third with a grand slam. Justin Ruggiano homered twice and scored four times as the Marlins scored in double figures for the first time since Aug. 20.

Miami's rare offensive outburst overshadowed the work of Kevin Slowey (1-2), who won for the first time in his last 16 starts by allowing just two hits and striking out seven in seven scoreless innings.

Halladay was charged with nine runs in 2 1/3 innings after giving up eight runs in 3 2/3 frames Tuesday at Cleveland. The two-time Cy Young Award winner, who walked four and hit a pair of batters as his ERA soared to 8.65, said he is planning to fly to Los Angeles to have discomfort in his right shoulder checked.

Marcell Ozuna went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and scored three runs for the Marlins. The Phillies got two runs in the eighth on an error and an RBI groundout to snap a string of 20 innings without scoring.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Slowey's last victory came on Sept. 27, 2010. He went 0-10 with a 5.33 ERA between wins. ... Halladay last allowed eight-plus runs in consecutive starts in May 2007, but then had an appendectomy and rebounded three weeks later with seven scoreless innings. ... Hechavarria became the fourth Marlin to record seven RBIs in a game and the first since Cody Ross on Sept. 11, 2006.
