Phillies 4, Marlins 1: Rookie Jonathan Pettibone pitched into the seventh inning and was backed by three solo home runs as Philadelphia continued its mastery at home over Miami.

Domonic Brown homered for the second straight game while Ryan Howard and Chase Utley also went deep for the Phillies, who won their fifth straight and 18th in the last 24 games over the Marlins at Citizens Bank Park. Pettibone (2-0) yielded one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings.

Donovan Solano homered and had two of Miami's six hits. Ricky Nolasco (2-3), who was 6-1 in his previous seven starts in Philadelphia, had a two-game winning streak snapped after allowing four runs and eight hits in six innings.

Howard led off the second inning with a topspin-heavy line drive that barely cleared the wall in right. Ben Revere celebrated his 25th birthday later in the frame with a single to score Carlos Ruiz, who singled and stole second base with two outs.

Utley lined Nolasco's first pitch of the third inning over the fence in right-center field while Brown led off the fourth by hitting Nolasco's 3-2 offering off the bottom of the right-field foul pole. Jonathan Papelbon worked a perfect ninth for his fifth save in five opportunities.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Antonio Bastardo relieved Pettibone and promptly walked two to load the bases with one out before he struck out pinch hitter Austin Kearns on a 3-2 pitch and caught Matt Diaz looking. ... Howard has 12 RBIs in his last nine games after collecting six in his first 19 contests. ... Papelbon has 190 saves since 2008, the most in the major leagues.
