Dodgers 3, Giants 2 (10): Adrian Gonzalez delivered a walk-off single with one out in the 10th inning as Los Angeles edged visiting San Francisco in the opener of the four-game series.

Carl Crawford hit a leadoff single off Jeremy Affeldt (1-5) and was sacrificed to second before scoring on Gonzalez’s liner to center field. Former Giants closer Brian Wilson (2-1) worked a scoreless 10th inning to notch the win for the Dodgers, who reduced their magic number to clinch the National League West to five with 16 games to play.

Zack Greinke yielded one run and four hits over six innings for the Dodgers, who moved ahead 2-1 in the seventh on Yasiel Puig’s RBI double. The Giants rallied in the ninth against Kenley Jansen, who suffered his first blown save in his last 19 games when Gregor Blanco’s single scored pinch runner Juan Perez from third.

Hunter Pence gave the Giants an early lead when he led off the second with a home run off Greinke, who remained unbeaten in his last nine starts.

Blanco had three hits for the Giants, who have lost six of their last seven meetings with Los Angeles. San Francisco loaded the bases with one out in the eighth before Pence grounded into an inning-ending double play against Ronald Belisario.
