Giants 4, Dodgers 2:
Madison Bumgarner tossed seven strong innings and drove in two runs as host San Francisco snapped its four-game losing streak.

Bumgarner (9-5) went seven innings for the fifth consecutive start and struck out nine while allowing two runs on three hits with no walks. Sergio Romo worked a perfect ninth for his 20th save for the Giants, who won for the second time in their last 12 games.

San Francisco scored three times in the second inning when Bumgarner drew a bases-loaded walk from Stephen Fife (3-3) and Gregor Blanco followed with an RBI single before Marco Scutaro drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Fife yielded four runs (one earned) and seven hits over 4 1/3 frames.

After the Giants added a run in the fourth on Bumgarner’s sacrifice fly, the Dodgers cut the deficit in half on Tim Federowicz’s two-run homer into the left-field seats with two outs in the fifth. Hanley Ramirez tripled in the seventh to extend his hitting streak to a career-high 17 games for the Dodgers, who lost for the third time in their last 14 games.

The Giants won despite giving back a run in the first, when they were called for batting out of order after Buster Posey singled in a run while hitting third in the order. Posey was charged with a groundout after Dodgers manager Don Mattingly alerted the umpires that Posey was listed fourth in the lineup and that Pablo Sandoval should have hit third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Dodgers acquired RHP Ricky Nolasco from the Marlins for RHPs Josh Wall, Steven Ames and Angel Sanchez in a trade that was announced during the game. … Dodgers CF Matt Kemp missed the game with an irritated left shoulder and is listed as day-to-day. … Los Angeles OF Yasiel Puig and 1B Adrian Gonzalez and Giants OF Hunter Pence were among the five players on the final ballot for a spot on the National League All-Star team.
