Nationals 6, Dodgers 2: Jordan Zimmermann continued his dominant run with 7 2/3 strong innings and Ryan Zimmerman drove in three runs as Washington recorded a rare victory at Dodger Stadium, but lost right fielder Bryce Harper.

The 20-year-old Harper ran full speed into the wall in the fifth inning and according to the Nationals suffered a jammed shoulder, a bruised neck and knee, and a cut which required 11 stitches. Zimmermann (7-1) allowed two runs and has yielded three in his last 31 2/3 innings as the Nationals won for the fourth time in their last 21 games at Dodger Stadium.

Josh Beckett (0-5) allowed four runs (two earned), three hits, two walks and struck out five in three innings as the Dodgers lost for the ninth time in their last 11 games. Skip Schumaker and Matt Kemp drove in runs for Los Angeles, which was 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position.

In the second inning, Zimmerman's two-run double to right drove in Zimmermann and Harper, who both walked. Adam LaRoche followed with a run-scoring groundout to give the Nationals a 4-0 lead.

Washington extended its advantage to 6-0 in the fifth inning when Stephen Lombardozzi scored on pitcher Javy Guerra's throwing error and LaRoche's ensuing single knocked in Harper.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Harper remained on the ground writhing in pain for several moments after hitting the wall while trying to run down A.J. Ellis' triple. It is unknown how much time he will miss. Harper went 1-for-1 with two walks and two runs scored to raise his average to .303 - the only National better than .300. ... This is the furthest Beckett has gone into a season without winning since 2002 - his first full campaign, when he won his first game May 14. Beckett, who turns 33 on Wednesday, fell to 7-3 against Washington/Montreal. ... Los Angeles CF Matt Kemp, who recorded his 1,000th career hit Sunday, extended his hitting streak to 12 games while Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez stretched his to 10.
