Dodgers 7, Brewers 5: Adrian Gonzalez drove in three runs, including a go-ahead two-run double in the seventh, and host Los Angeles won the opener of the three-game series.

Dodgers leadoff hitter Carl Crawford had two hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs. Four relievers combined to limit Milwaukee to two runs over the final 3 2/3 innings with Ronald Belisario (2-2) earning the victory after starter Josh Beckett departed with one out in the sixth, allowing three runs and seven hits.

Brewers starter Hiram Burgos pitched six innings, allowing three runs and four hits. Milwaukee moved ahead by a run in the seventh when Norichika Aoki’s single got past Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp for a two-base error - one of four by the Dodgers. Alex Gonzalez had three hits and scored three runs for Milwaukee.

Justin Sellers led off the seventh with a single off Brewers reliever Burke Badenhop and was sacrificed to second. Mike Gonzalez (0-2) relieved Badenhop and issued a two-out walk to Nick Punto, followed by Gonzalez’s two-run double to deep center.

The Dodgers took a 2-0 lead on a two-out RBI single by Andre Ethier in the first and Crawford’s home run to lead off the third, but the Brewers got even on a solo home run by Ryan Braun in the fourth and another by Yuniesky Betancourt to lead off the fifth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dodgers 2B Mark Ellis left in the fifth inning after appearing to injure his right leg while running out a ground ball to the pitcher. He was replaced in the top of the sixth by Punto. … Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez, who suffered a broken right thumb during the World Baseball Classic in early March, is set to begin a rehab assignment Saturday at Double-A Rancho Cucamonga. … Braun has homered in three of his six career at-bats against Beckett.
