Astros 6, Angels 3: Carlos Pena went 3-for-5 with an RBI and Dallas Keuchel tossed seven solid innings as visiting Houston extended its winning streak to a season high-tying three games.

Jason Castro belted his career-high seventh home run for the Astros, who also won three straight from April 9-12.

Keuchel (2-2) bounced back after allowing a total of 15 runs in his previous three starts, limiting Los Angeles to two runs and six hits while striking out four without a walk. Two relievers bridged the gap to Jose Veras, who struck out two in a perfect ninth for his ninth save in 12 opportunities.

Erick Aybar went 2-for-4 with a solo homer for the Angels, who have lost four of seven meetings with Houston this year. Tommy Hanson (2-2) was tagged for five runs (four earned) and eight hits over 6 1/3 innings as he lost for the second time in six career decisions against the Astros.

Chris Iannetta and Chris Nelson each drove in a run in the second inning to give the Angels a 2-0 lead, but Castro highlighted a three-run fourth for Houston with a leadoff blast. The Astros added three more in the seventh before Aybar launched a one-out homer in the eighth to draw Los Angeles within 6-3.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Angels OF Josh Hamilton, who was kept out of the starting lineup the last two games due to back spasms, served as the designated hitter and went 1-for-4 with a run scored. ... The Angels wore special patches in honor of the late Dr. Lewis Yocum, the team's orthopedist for 36 years. Yocum passed away May 25 following complications from liver cancer. ... Houston placed RHP Edgar Gonzalez on the 15-day disabled list and activated RHP Josh Fields, who has not pitched since April 3 due to a strained forearm. Gonzalez, who is out with a strained shoulder, is 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA in five relief appearances for the Astros after signing as a free agent May 12.
