Santiago Casilla pitched around a two-out single in the ninth for his second save as the Giants completed their first winning homestand (4-3) since May 20-26.

Gregor Blanco singled to lead off the third and later scored on Pablo Sandoval’s two-out base hit as the Giants edged in front 1-0. San Francisco starter Yusmeiro Petit retired the first 11 batters before walking Corey Dickerson in the fourth and he scored on Arenado’s single to tie the contest.

The Rockies posted four hits in the sixth inning, including run-scoring singles by Arenado and Charlie Culberson, to take a 3-1 lead and end Petit’s day. The Giants loaded the bases with none out in the seventh, but could only manage Hunter Pence’s sacrifice fly.
