Tigers 7, Indians 0: Rick Porcello combined with two relievers on a shutout and Victor Martinez went 3-for-3 with two RBIs as visiting Detroit extended its winning streak to four games.

Jhonny Peralta and Ramon Santiago also drove in two runs apiece while Andy Dirks collected two hits and scored three times for the Tigers, who moved 2 1/2 games ahead of the second-place Indians in the American League Central.

Porcello (5-6) limited Cleveland to four singles and a double over seven innings as he ended his personal three-start losing streak. The right-hander, who walked two and struck out six, improved to 7-3 lifetime against the Indians. Al Alburquerque and Bruce Rondon each worked a scoreless frame to complete the shutout.

Santiago opened the scoring in the second inning with a two-run single and Miguel Cabrera, who returned after a one-game absence due to a sore back, made it 3-0 in the following frame with an RBI base hit. Martinez hit an RBI single in the fifth before scoring on Peralta's two-run double and added another run-scoring single in the seventh for a 7-0 advantage.

Justin Masterson (10-7) lasted only 4 2/3 innings, surrendering six runs on seven hits and four walks. Carlos Santana recorded two of the six hits for the Indians, who have lost three in a row.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Masterson fell to 6-2 at home this season and 2-8 lifetime against the Tigers. ... Cleveland 2B Jason Kipnis singled in the sixth inning to extend his hitting streak to 16 games. He has reached base safely in 36 consecutive contests. ... Cabrera's RBI was his major league-leading 86th of the season.
