Marlins 6, Cubs 4:
Ricky Nolasco pitched seven strong innings and Giancarlo Stanton homered twice as host Miami salvaged the finale of a four-game series.

Nick Green also hit a home run for the Marlins, who won for only the second time in eight games. Nolasco (2-2) limited the Cubs to three runs on four hits to improve to 5-2 all-time against the organization that drafted him.

Stanton singled home the tying run in the sixth against Cubs starter Carlos Villanueva (1-1) and scored the go-ahead run on Donovan Solano's single two batters later. Green and Stanton added solo homers to provide some insurance, and Steve Cishek picked up his third save despite allowing Dioner Navarro's solo homer in the ninth.

The Cubs took a 1-0 lead on Anthony Rizzo's RBI double in the first, but Stanton's two-run blast in the bottom of the inning put the Marlins on top. Chicago regained the lead on Starlin Castro's two-run double down the left-field line in the third before Nolasco settled in.

Stanton, who did not hit a home run in his first 17 games, had a 472-foot blast Saturday and went deep to left twice Sunday. He was 3-for-3 with four RBIs.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Marlins had not hit multiple homers in the same game until they went deep twice Saturday and three times Sunday. … Villanueva was charged with four runs in six innings, snapping a streak of six consecutive quality starts by Cubs pitchers. … Green's homer was his first since Aug. 10, 2009, with Boston.
