White Sox 4, Blue Jays 3: Dayan Viciedo hit the go-ahead RBI double in the ninth inning as visiting Chicago edged Toronto.

Reliever Steve Delabar (1-1) walked Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko to open the inning, then struck out Conor Gillaspie before serving up a low fastball that Viciedo smacked into the center-field gap. Alexei Ramirez was intentionally walked and Hector Gimenez greeted Darren Oliver with a sacrifice fly to right that brought home Konerko with a valuable insurance run.

Matt Lindstrom (1-0) recorded the final out of the eighth to earn the win, while Addison Reed surrendered a Brett Lawrie RBI sacrifice fly before locking down his fifth save as Chicago improved to 2-6 on its 10-game road trip.

The White Sox opened the scoring in the second after Jays starter Josh Johnson threw a wild pitch to Gimenez, allowing Konerko to score from third. Colby Rasmus evened things in the bottom half, crushing a fastball over the banner in straightaway center field for his second home run in five career at-bats against Chicago’s Dylan Axelrod.

It stayed that way until the sixth, when J.P. Arencibia drove a fastball on a line over the wall in right-center for his second homer in as many nights. Konerko squared things the following half-inning with a blast to left-center, ending a streak of 10 consecutive outs recorded by Johnson.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Johnson went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out eight. Axelrod limited Toronto to two runs on seven hits over six frames. ... Blue Jays RF Jose Bautista missed his second straight game as he deals with back spasms and an ear infection. He's considered day-to-day. ... Lawrie (strained oblique) went 0-for-3 in his season debut.
