Blue Jays 4, White Sox 3:
J.P. Arencibia and Maicer Izturis homered and Mark Buehrle prevailed in his first game against his former team as host Toronto won the opener of a seven-game homestand.

Buehrle (1-0) overcame a shaky first inning to earn his first victory in a Blue Jays uniform, limiting Chicago to a pair of runs on nine hits over 6 1/3 innings. Casey Janssen, the fourth Toronto pitcher, struck out a pair in a perfect ninth inning for his fourth save.

Gavin Floyd (0-3) had his second straight rough outing and was charged with four runs on nine hits over 4 1/3 frames. Dayan Viciedo led the Chicago attack with three hits and an RBI while Paul Konerko and Alexei Ramirez also drove in runs.

Konerko and Viciedo each hit RBI singles to left field to stake the White Sox to a 2-0 first-inning lead. The Blue Jays got even in the bottom half on a Melky Cabrera sacrifice fly before Arencibia turned on a Floyd fastball and drilled it off the top of the fence and over for his first home run in seven games.

Izturis hit a solo shot leading off the second and Emilio Bonifacio brought home Munenori Kawasaki - who had tripled - with a sacrifice fly in the fourth to make it 4-2. Chicago cut the deficit to one in the eighth after Adam Dunn was hit by a pitch, advanced to third on Viciedo's double and scored on Ramirez's sacrifice fly.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Blue Jays RF/3B Jose Bautista missed the game due to back spasms that flared up a few hours before the opening pitch. Bautista, who also had a fever, is expected to play Tuesday. ... Dunn went hitless in three at-bats and is 4-for-40 since recording a pair of hits Opening Day.
