Dodgers 2, Braves 1 (10):
Pinch-runner Skip Schumaker scored on a wild pitch with one out in the 10th inning as host Los Angeles won its second straight against Atlanta.

Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig continued the amazing start to his career, belting his fourth homer in his fifth major-league game to tie the score in the sixth inning. Starter Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched into the eighth inning for the third straight start, allowing one run and six hits in 7 2/3 frames before closer Brandon League (2-2) worked the 10th for the win.

Braves starter Paul Maholm allowed one run and four hits in 7 1/3 innings and Freddie Freeman had three hits and scored a run. Anthony Varvaro (3-1) took the loss by throwing his second wild pitch of the 10th inning and seventh of the season.

Ramon Hernandez singled with one out in the 10th, took second on a wild pitch and went to third on Luis Cruz's base hit. With Juan Uribe at the plate and Schumaker running for Hernandez, Varvaro bounced a breaking ball in front of catcher Evan Gattis, and it skipped far enough away to bring home the winning run.

The Dodgers had difficulty getting the ball in the air against Maholm, who induced inning-ending double plays in the first, third and fifth innings and retired the side in order on grounders in both the third and fourth frames. But Puig hammered a two-out homer to left field to forge a tie.

GAME NOTEBOOK: With 10 RBIs in his first five major-league games, Puig has matched the most in MLB history. Puig has hit a solo homer, a two-run shot, a three-run blast and a grand slam, becoming the second player since 1900 to hit four home runs in his first five games. … Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez did not start as his hamstring tightened up before the game, but he pinch-hit in the ninth and flied out to deep right. … The Braves have scored one run in their last 20 innings.
