Diamondbacks 3, Phillies 2:
Miguel Montero broke a tie with a home run leading off the bottom of the eighth inning as Arizona won its fifth straight game.

Montero crushed the first pitch from Mike Adams (1-3) off the right-field foul pole. Tony Sipp (2-1) set down both batters he faced in the eighth inning and David Hernandez retired pinch hitter Laynce Nix and Jimmy Rollins with runners on second and third and one out in the ninth to earn his first save in four tries.

Philadelphia rookie Tyler Cloyd, making his first start since replacing the injured Roy Halladay in the rotation, allowed one run and two hits. After Eric Chavez's RBI double with two outs in the first inning, Cloyd did not allow his other hit until Cody Ross chased him with a one-out single in the seventh.

Rollins snapped a 5-for-28 slide with two hits - including a home run on the game's first pitch - for the Phillies. Domonic Brown delivered a two-out RBI single in the first to make it 2-0.

Martin Prado's two-out RBI single tied the score 2-2 in the seventh inning. Arizona starter Ian Kennedy allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings while remaining winless in seven starts (0-4) since a season-opening victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Philadelphia's last 14 home runs have been solo shots. ... Cloyd went 2-2 in his previous six major-league starts - all at the end of 2012. ... Prado snapped an 0-for-29 skid with runners in scoring position with his single.
