Rays 8, Orioles 0: Jeremy Hellickson spun six scoreless innings to lead host Tampa Bay to its fifth straight win over Baltimore.

Ben Zobrist was 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored and Luke Scott had a bases-loaded triple for the Rays. Jose Lobaton and Yunel Escobar both had three hits and an RBI as Tampa Bay leapfrogged the Orioles to move into third place in the American League East.

Hellickson (4-2) yielded just four hits and struck out five in improving to 8-3 lifetime against Baltimore. He has 28 strikeouts against four walks in his last six starts.

Zobrist doubled and scored in the first, had an RBI single in the second and doubled and scored to ignite a five-run fifth that chased Baltimore rookie starter Kevin Gausman (0-3). Scott greeted reliever T.J. McFarland with a three-run triple that made it 7-0.

Gausman gave up seven runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings for the Orioles, who have one run on six hits in the first two games of the series.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Orioles activated RHP Pedro Strop from the disabled list. The righty was sidelined with a lower back strain. ... Tampa Bay has also won five straight at home. ... Baltimore 3B Manny Machado had one of his team's four hits to extend his hitting streak to six games.
