Dodgers 7, Rockies 3: Left-hander Chris Capuano pitched seven strong innings to improve to 5-0 and Mark Ellis homered and drove in three runs for host Los Angeles.

Andre Ethier homered among his three hits and had two RBIs, Juan Uribe also went deep and Bobby Abreu drove in a run as the Dodgers roughed up 49-year-old Jamie Moyer to open up a six-game lead in the National League West.

Moyer (1-3) allowed five runs, seven hits and struck out seven in five innings. The lefty has yielded 14 runs in 15 innings over his last three starts.

Capuano was charged with a run on four hits in seven innings and Michael Cuddyer’s solo homer with two outs in the seventh ended his scoreless innings streak at 25 1/3. Capuano lowered his ERA to 2.06.

Ellis homered to left in the first inning and Abreu’s RBI single scored Ethier in the second.

The Dodgers broke it open in the fifth when Ellis delivered a two-run double off the center field wall and Ethier followed with an RBI single to make it 5-0.

Ethier and Uribe homered over the center field fence in the seventh and eighth inning, respectively.

Cuddyer added a sacrifice fly and Dexter Fowler hit an RBI triple in the ninth.
