Rockies 6, Diamondbacks 1:
Forty-nine-year-old Jamie Moyer pitched 6 1/3 solid innings and drove in two runs with an infield hit to become the oldest player in major league history to record an RBI as host Colorado won two straight games for the first time since April 20.

Moyer (2-3), who had allowed 14 runs in his last three starts covering 15 innings, yielded six hits and struck out five in winning his 269th career game as Colorado improved to 3-9 in its last 12.

Dexter Fowler had three hits and a two-run triple and Jordan Pacheco had two hits and two runs scored for Colorado, which made a triumphant return to Coors Field after a 2-6 road trip. The Rockies, who average 3.2 runs with a .219 batting average on the road, were at 6.5 runs and .282 at home entering Wednesday.

Rookie left-hander Patrick Corbin (2-2) allowed six runs and nine hits in six innings for Arizona, which has dropped 11 of 14.

With Colorado leading 3-0 and two outs in the fourth, Pacheco singled and Fowler doubled. Moyer chopped a slow roller down the first base line and eluded the tag of Arizona’s Paul Goldschmidt. Fowler never stopped running and easily beat Goldschmidt’s throw home to give the Rockies a 5-0 lead.

Pacheco’s RBI single put Colorado in front 1-0 in the second and Fowler followed with his triple to make it 3-0. Carlos Gonzalez’s RBI single in the fifth gave the Rockies a 6-0 lead.

Pinch hitter Cody Ransom chased Moyer with a run-scoring double.
