Rangers 11, Angels 10 (10):
Elvis Andrus' walk-off two-run single capped a four-run 10th inning as Texas rallied to stun Los Angeles and restore their four-game lead over the Angels in the American League West.

Albert Pujols belted two homers for the second straight night - the latter of which gave the Angels a 10-7 lead in the top of the 10th after Chris Iannetta led off the frame with a blast off Joe Nathan (2-3).

The Rangers' Ian Kinsler, whose throwing error led to Los Angeles' six-run third inning, drove a 2-0 fastball from Ernesto Frieri into the left field seats to tie the game with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning. Frieri also gave up a solo homer to Nelson Cruz in the 10th and walked David Murphy after Michael Young reached on shortstop Andrew Romine's fielding error.

Jason Isringhausen (3-1) entered the contest and promptly gave up a single to Mike Napoli to load the bases before Mitch Moreland's single scored Murphy. After Kinsler popped up, Andrus delivered a hard grounder down the third base line past a diving Alberto Callaspo for his fourth hit of the game.

Pujols' first two-run blast was one of only two hits in Los Angeles’ six-run third as the Angels took a 6-0 lead and led 7-1 after 3 1/2 innings. Torii Hunter and Callaspo also had two RBIs for the Angels.

Napoli, Kinsler (two RBIs apiece) and Murphy had three hits for Texas, which won for only the second time in six games.

Rangers rookie Yu Darvish allowed seven runs, four hits, struck out seven and matched a season high with six walks in five innings.

After Darvish issued one-out walks to No. 8 and 9 hitters Iannetta and Romine in the third inning, rookie Mike Trout reached to load the bases when Darvish fielded his grounder and threw to an empty second base as neither shortstop Andrus nor second baseman Kinsler got to the bag.

Hunter followed with what looked like a double-play grounder to short, but Kinsler’s relay throw was wide of first, allowing Iannetta and Romine to score. Pujols’ homer followed and, after Mark Trumbo and Kendrys Morales walked, Callaspo capped the uprising with a two-run double.

Trailing 7-1, the Rangers scored four runs in the fifth inning on RBI doubles by Napoli and Kinsler, a run-scoring single by Andrus and a sacrifice fly by Moreland.

Murphy’s RBI single in the eighth inning brought Texas to within 7-6, and right fielder Cruz threw out Morales at the plate to end the top of the ninth inning and keep it a one-run game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pujols is 7-for-15 in the series. … After hitting .177 in July, Texas’ Josh Hamilton went 0-for-5 on Wednesday. ... The Rangers struck out 16 batters. ... Frieri had allowed one home run in 43 innings entering the game. ... Maicer Izturis made the first and last out in Los Angeles’ third inning.
