Rangers 9, Angels 2:
Mike Napoli, Yorvit Torrealba and Adrian Beltre clubbed second-inning homers against Ervin Santana and visiting Texas ended a 10-game losing streak at Angel Stadium.

Napoli added a third-inning homer for his ninth career multi-homer game, Ian Kinsler also went deep and Yu Darvish matched a career-high with 11 strikeouts as the Rangers increased their American League West lead to six games over Los Angeles.

Texas struck for five second-inning runs to take a 6-0 lead. Napoli and Torrealba smacked back-to-back homers, Kinsler delivered a run-scoring double and Beltre belted a two-run shot to left-center field to end the afternoon of Santana (4-10).

Darvish (11-6) allowed two runs, three hits and four walks in seven innings to end a two-game personal losing streak. The All-Star right-hander struck out 10 or more batters for the sixth time this season.

American League batting leader Mike Trout went 1-for-3 with an RBI single in the third and scored on Torii Hunter’s fifth-inning single. Trout has scored a run in 13 consecutive games, matching the AL rookie record shared by Jake Powell of the Washington Senators (1935) and Don Lenhardt of the St. Louis Browns (1950) and also equaling the Angels franchise record set by Jim Edmonds in 1995.

Kinsler added a two-run blast in the eighth for Texas’ fifth homer of the game, one shy of the club’s single-game high this season.

Torrealba had three of the Rangers’ 15 hits in his first game back after being away for the birth of his daughter. Napoli is a scorching 13-for-26 against his former teammates this season.

Santana allowed six runs and eight hits in 1 2/3 innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Beltre has five homers in 51 career at-bats against Santana. … Angels DH Kendrys Morales struck out three times, and had fanned seven times in nine at-bats before slapping a ninth-inning single. … The last time Texas hit three homers in an inning was Sept. 27 of last season when Beltre, Napoli and Nelson Cruz all homered consecutively off Angels RHP Jerome Williams. … Santana has failed to make it through two innings in two of his last three starts. He gave up eight runs in 1 1/3 innings against the Cleveland Indians on July 4. … Angels SS Erick Aybar (toe) left the game after the seventh inning.
