Brewers 15, Cubs 4:
Ryan Braun hit his National League-leading 35th homer in a nine-run ninth inning and drove in five runs as visiting Milwaukee beat Chicago for the sixth straight time.

Aramis Ramirez hit a go-ahead homer in the fifth and added a solo blast in the ninth to cap a four-RBI night for the Brewers, who pounded out 21 hits and have taken 11 of the 14 meetings with the Cubs this season.

Braun’s three-run homer in the ninth went onto Waveland Avenue and broke the game open. That began a string of back-to-back-to-back blasts for Milwaukee, as Ramirez and Corey Hart followed with home runs. Braun added an RBI single in the inning in which 14 batters went to the plate.

Braun is now tied for second in the majors in home runs behind Adam Dunn of the Chicago White Sox.

Braun and Ramirez combined to put Milwaukee on top with a three-run fifth. Rickie Weeks reached with a one-out single off Justin Germano (2-4) and Braun followed with an RBI double to center before Ramirez stepped up and drove a first-pitch changeup into the fourth row in left-center for his 19th homer and a 4-3 lead.

Marco Estrada (2-5) struck out eight in five innings and was charged with three unearned runs on six hits and three walks in picking up back-to-back wins for the first time in his career.

Germano, who allowed an RBI double to Ramirez in the first, was charged with five runs on 10 hits in five-plus innings. He struck out four and did not walk a batter.

The Cubs had taken the lead in a three-run third, getting consecutive RBI singles from Anthony Rizzo, Alfonso Soriano and Starlin Castro.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Germano has made his last two starts against the Brewers and has been pounded for a combined 12 runs on 18 hits in 9 2/3 innings. … Cubs rookie CF Brett Jackson hit his fourth home run in 20 games since being called up. … Milwaukee CF Carlos Gomez went 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored and a stolen base. … Chicago swapped minor league catchers with the Oakland Athletics on Monday, sending away Blake Lalli in exchange for Anthony Recker.
