Brewers 9, Cubs 5:
Jonathan Lucroy belted two home runs, including a three-run shot in host Milwaukee's eight-run fifth inning, to lift Mark Rogers to his first major-league victory.

Corey Hart's two-run single broke a 3-3 tie before the Brewers used the long ball to hand the Cubs their 13th loss in 16 games at Miller Park since the start of the 2011 season. Carlos Gomez capped the big inning with a solo shot.

Milwaukee's bullpen had blown saves in three of Rogers' last four starts, but the Brewers' bats made sure the 26-year-old right-hander wasn't foiled this time. Rogers (1-1) allowed three runs and five hits, walked three and struck out seven in five innings.

Josh Vitters hit his first major league homer, David DeJesus had two RBIs and Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-2 with a run-scoring double for the Cubs, who have lost 16 of their last 20 games.

Chicago's Justin Germano (2-3) was charged with seven runs and eight hits in 4 2/3 innings.

Rizzo's ground-rule double gave the Cubs a 1-0 lead in the first inning and Vitters' blast put Chicago ahead 3-1 in the fifth.

The Brewers tied the game 3-3 on Norichika Aoki's sacrifice fly, which followed Travis Ishikawa's pinch-hit RBI single. With two outs, Rickie Weeks and Ryan Braun singled, and Aramis Ramirez walked before Hart delivered a two-run single.

Jeff Beliveau relieved Germano and yielded Lucroy's three-run homer to left-center field. Gomez followed with a shot to left-center.
