Mariners 7, Twins 0: Felix Hernandez surrendered just one hit in eight shutout innings and Kyle Seager had a home run and four runs batted in as Seattle snapped a seven-game losing streak.

Hernandez (3-1) set Minnesota down in order in every inning except the fourth, when he loaded the bases on a Denard Span single and two walks before escaping the jam when Chris Parmelee flied out. The right-hander struck out nine and retired the last 13 batters he faced before giving way to Steve Delabar, who closed it out with a perfect ninth inning.

Minnesota starter Jason Marquis (2-1) stayed right with Hernandez before a lack of control caught up to him in the sixth inning. After giving up a leadoff single to Dustin Ackley and a one-out walk, his fifth of the night, to Ichiro Suzuki, Marquis lost his shutout bid on a two-out, two-run single by Seager.

Seattle put the game away against three Twins relievers in the seventh, scoring five more runs. Brendan Ryan made it 3-0 on a bases-loaded sacrifice fly, and Suzuki followed by greeting Matt Maloney with a two-run triple to center field. Seager punctuated the inning with a two-run homer off Jeff Gray.

Though undone by his six walks, Marquis limited the Mariners to two runs on just four hits in his six innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Mariners are averaging six runs per game in their 12 wins this season ... Hernandez has allowed just two runs over his last 31 innings pitched ... Marquis lost for the first time in five career starts against Seattle ... The Twins own the worst record in the major leagues (7-19) and are 15-48 over their last 63 games dating back to last season.
