Tigers 7, Reds 6
: Austin Jackson homered and highlighted a four-run eighth inning with a two-run double as visiting Detroit rallied to take the rubber game of the three-game interleague series.

Todd Frazier helped stake Cincinnati to a 6-2 lead with a two-run single in the second inning and a two-run homer in the sixth. But Prince Fielder's RBI single in the seventh got Detroit within three, and the Tigers moved ahead with their eighth-inning rally.

Ramon Santiago drew a leadoff walk from Logan Ondrusek and Gerald Laird followed with an infield single. Aroldis Chapman (4-2) came in and struggled, allowing a single by pinch hitter Brennan Boesch and hitting Matt Young with a pitch to force in a run.

Jackson, who belted a solo homer in the fifth, delivered a ground-rule double to tie the contest. After Quintin Berry walked to again fill the bases, Young raced home with the go-ahead run on a wild pitch.

Chapman avoided further damage by retiring Miguel Cabrera, Fielder and Delmon Young.

Brayan Villarreal (3-1) notched the win despite allowing a run over two innings. Jose Valverde worked a perfect ninth for his 12th save in 15 opportunities.

Zack Cozart and Devin Mesoraco hit solo home runs for the Reds, who fell to 2-4 on their nine-game homestand with their fifth loss in seven contests overall.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cincinnati LH Bill Bray began a rehab assignment with Single-A Dayton on Saturday, recording a walk and a strikeout in one scoreless inning.
