Astros 8, Indians 1: J.D. Martinez and Jordan Schafer hit back-to-back homers in a four-run fifth, and Dallas Keuchel pitched a complete game for his first major-league victory as Houston won for just the second time in eight games.

Keuchel (1-0) gave up just one run on six hits, walking one and striking out three in his second career start. The loss snapped Cleveland’s four-game winning streak.

Cleveland starter Jeanmar Gomez (4-7) did not allow a base hit until Brian Bogusevic led off the fifth with a double. Chris Johnson doubled home Bogusevic to tie the game at 1-1. Martinez followed with his eighth homer of the season, a two-run shot to left to give Houston a 3-1 advantage.

Schafer hit his third homer on the next pitch, a solo shot to left to make it 4-1.

Houston extended its lead to 5-1 in the sixth on Carlos Lee’s run-scoring double to left center. Jose Altuve hit his fifth homer in the eighth as the Astros scored three times.

Gomez lasted 5 2/3 innings, allowing six hits and five runs with one walk and three strikeouts. Asdrubal Cabrera drove in Cleveland's only run in the fourth, hitting his ninth homer of the season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Schafer hit his first homer since April 22. … Nine of Houston's 10 hits were for extra bases (six doubles, three homers). ... Altuve and Lee each finished with two hits. ... Cleveland's Jason Kipnis went 3-for-4 and teammate Shin-Soo Choo hit his AL-leading 23rd double in the ninth.
