White Sox 12, Indians 6: Paul Konerko belted a three-run homer and drove in four runs, lifting host Chicago past Cleveland for its fifth-straight victory.

Konerko raised his major-league leading average to .399 and extended his hitting streak to 13 games, finishing 4-for-4 with two runs scored. Chicago scored three runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings, winning for the 10th time in 11 games.

Gordon Beckham went 4-for-4 with three runs, and Alexei Ramirez added three hits and two RBIs for the White Sox.

Konerko cranked his 11th homer of the season on a 2-2 pitch from Ubaldo Jimenez (5-4) in the fourth. He drove in Chicago’s first run in the first on a groundout.

Alex Rios and Ramirez plated runs with RBI singles in the first. Cleveland tied the game 3-3 in the top of the second on Johnny Damon’s three-run homer off Gavin Floyd (4-5). It was Damon’s first homer this season.

With the game tied 4-4 in the fourth, Konerko’s homer gave Chicago the lead for keeps. Orlando Hudson tripled home two runs in the fifth, and Alejandro De Aza singled home a run to give the White Sox a 10-4 advantage.

Floyd got the victory, allowing 10 hits and five runs in five innings. Jimenez took the loss, surrendering seven hits and seven runs with four walks in four innings.
