Phillies 8, Brewers 0: Kyle Kendrick scattered three hits over eight brilliant innings to record his second consecutive scoreless outing and Domonic Brown drove in four runs as visiting Philadelphia salvaged a split of the four-game series with Milwaukee.

Michael Martinez belted a two-run homer, Brown sliced a three-run double and Brian Schneider added a two-run double in the eighth. Kevin Frandsen collected three of the 14 hits for the Phillies, who have won five of seven against the Brewers this season.

After limiting Miami to just five hits over seven scoreless frames on Tuesday, Kendrick (6-9) was even stingier against Milwaukee. The 27-year-old tied a career high with seven strikeouts en route to posting his first career win versus the Brewers.

While reigning National League MVP Ryan Braun was held in check for the first time this series, Martinez provided the power display in the second inning. The light-hitting Martinez deposited a fastball from Randy Wolf (3-10) over the wall in left-center field for his second homer.

Wolf, who pitched for the Phillies from 1999-2006, suffered his fourth straight loss after permitting five runs on 10 hits in seven innings.

Nyjer Morgan collected two hits of the five hits for the Brewers, who have dropped two in a row following an eight-game home winning streak.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Braun, who went 1-for-4 with a double in the ninth inning, was kept in the ballpark for the first time in his last six games against the Phillies. ... Philadelphia will begin a 10-game homestand on Monday when it starts a four-game series with Cincinnati. ... Milwaukee will host the Chicago Cubs on Monday to start a three-game set.
