Phillies 8, Nationals 0:
Kevin Frandsen and Jimmy Rollins homered off Stephen Strasburg and Cliff Lee tossed seven scoreless innings as visiting Philadelphia cruised to victory in the opener of a three-game series.

Hours after trading Hunter Pence and Shane Victorino, the Phillies jumped on Strasburg (11-5) for six runs in four innings. Frandsen hit a two-run homer in the second to give Philadelphia an early lead.

After giving up 12 hits and six runs in his last start, Lee (2-6) allowed five hits with seven strikeouts to help Philadelphia beat the Nationals for just the fifth time in the last 18 matchups.

Leading 3-0, the Phillies scored three times in the fourth when Lee singled in a run and stole second base before Rollins hit a shot off the top of the right field fence. Bryce Harper was slow getting up after slamming into the fence, allowing Rollins to record his fourth career inside-the-park home run.

Strasburg allowed eight hits with three strikeouts over four innings in the third-shortest outing of his career. The six earned runs matches the most Strasburg has allowed in 38 career starts.

Adam LaRoche and Ryan Zimmerman were both out with back soreness for Washington, which lost for just the second time in its last 10 games. Mark DeRosa started in Zimmerman's place and struck out in all four of his plate appearances.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rollins’ last inside-the-park home run came in April 2007 against Dontrelle Willis. … Frandsen’s homer came on his fourth at-bat in the majors this season. … The Phillies activated C Brian Schneider from the 15-day disabled list and recalled OF Domonic Brown from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Brown singled as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning.
