Marlins 6, Diamondbacks 5 (10): Giancarlo Stanton hit a two-out RBI single in the top of the 10th off Sam Demel and visiting Miami rallied from an early deficit to win its second straight over Arizona.

Gorkys Hernandez led off the 10th with an infield single and eventually scored on Stanton’s single to left off Demel (0-1), who was promoted from Triple-A Reno before the game.

Chad Gaudin (2-1) earned the win and Steve Cishek recorded his 10th save for Miami, which won for the fifth time in its last seven games. The loss dropped Arizona six games behind first-place San Francisco in the National League West.

The Diamondbacks opened the game with a five-run first inning off Ricky Nolasco. The Diamondbacks sent nine batters to the plate in the inning, which was highlighted by Justin Upton’s two-run single.

Miami began its comeback in the third when Donovan Solano singled in a run and Nolasco hit a ground-rule double that scored Greg Dobbs.

Arizona starter Trevor Cahill was pulled with one out in the sixth after Solano singled to score Stanton, who doubled to lead off the inning. Matt Albers followed Cahill and allowed the Marlins to tie the game at 5-all on RBI singles by Hernandez and Bryan Petersen.

The Marlins threatened to pull ahead in the seventh before Brad Ziegler struck out Justin Ruggiano with the bases loaded to end the inning.
