Giancarlo Stanton hit one of his two homers during a nine-run fourth inning as visiting Miami snapped Arizona’s four-game winning streak.

Jason Kubel hit a solo shot in the second to give Arizona a brief lead before Miami opened the fourth with six straight hits, including back-to-back homers by Stanton and Justin Ruggiano.

Donovan Solano, Jose Reyes and Carlos Lee had two hits apiece in the fourth, when the Marlins sent 12 batters to the plate and scored nine runs on 10 hits. Arizona starter Joe Saunders (6-10) was pulled after allowing nine runs on 12 hits over 2 2/3 frames.

Reyes went 4-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored for Miami, which had a season-high 20 hits and led 10-2 after Donnie Murphy tripled in a run in the fifth.

Stanton led off the seventh with his fifth home run in his last five games, giving him six career multi-homer games and two this season. With one out in the seventh, John Buck capped the Marlins’ scoring with his second homer in as many games. Buck went 4-for-5 with three runs scored.

Mark Buehrle evened his record at 11-11 while giving up two runs over seven innings in his second career start against the Diamondbacks.

After outscoring Houston 23-6 in a three-game sweep, Arizona had only two extra-base hits in the opener of the three-day, four-game series.
