Marlins 9, Padres 8 (12): Omar Infante drilled an RBI double with one out in the 12th inning as Miami ended its eight-game losing streak against San Diego.

Hanley Ramirez and Giancarlo Stanton homered while Infante collected three hits and two RBIs for the Marlins, who improved to 4-0 on their nine-game road trip.

Ramirez drew a leadoff walk in the 12th off Josh Spence (0-1) and came around to score when Infante hammered a shot off the left-center field wall.

Steve Cishek (4-0) picked up the win after striking out three over three scoreless innings.

Miami jumped on San Diego starter Anthony Bass in the first inning as Ramirez belted a three-run homer and Stanton added a two-run shot for a 5-0 lead.

After San Diego got within two runs, Bass helped his own cause by capping a six-run third with a three-run triple. The Marlins pulled even in the fourth when Jose Reyes scored on a balk by Bass, but the right-hander hit a two-out single in the fifth and scored on Mark Kotsay's base hit two batters later for a 7-6 lead.

Greg Dobbs and Infante hit RBI singles with two outs in the seventh to stake Miami to an 8-7 advantage. However, pinch hitter Jesus Guzman and Cameron Maybin greeted former Padres closer Heath Bell with back-to-back doubles in the ninth to even the contest.

Yonder Alonso went 4-for-7 for the Padres, who are 2-2 on their nine-game homestand.
