Blue Jays 12, Braves 4: Visiting Toronto wiped out a 4-0 deficit with a six-run fifth and went on to beat Atlanta for the first time in nine tries.

The Blue Jays banged out 18 hits as they snapped Atlanta’s six-game winning streak and handed the Braves just their third loss in the last 16 interleague games.

Toronto strung together six hits in the fifth, including Colby Rasmus' two-run single and Edwin Encarnacion's run-scoring double. In the sixth, Brett Lawrie blasted a two-run homer and Rasmus followed with a solo shot off Livan Hernandez (1-1).

Carlos Villanueva (1-0) earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief.

Toronto starter Ricky Romero, who had won his last three starts, gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits in four innings. Atlanta’s Julio Teheran, starting for the injured Tim Hudson, was knocked out in the six-run fifth. He allowed four runs on four hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Braves leadoff hitter Michael Bourn extended his hitting streak to 10 games by going 2-for-4 with a double.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Braves 3B Chipper Jones returned from a bruised calf and batted third. He went 0-for-3 with a walk. … Toronto had scored a total of eight runs in its three-game skid before Sunday. ... The Braves had allowed a total of 12 runs in their previous seven games before giving up 12 Sunday.
