Blue Jays 2, Mets 0: Brandon Morrow tossed a three-hit complete-game gem and Kelly Johnson had an RBI double in the fifth inning as host Toronto won its fourth straight contest.

Yunel Escobar followed by plating Johnson with an RBI single for the Blue Jays, who handed the struggling Mets their fifth loss in six games.

Morrow (5-2) was simply masterful, retiring 13 consecutive batters before Lucas Duda ripped a two-out double to right field in the seventh inning. After fanning Ike Davis to end the threat, Morrow went on to record his second complete game of the season and third career. He finished with one walk and eight strikeouts.

With two outs in the fifth, Jeff Mathis snapped an 0-for-11 slump with a single. Johnson followed by depositing a high fastball into the gap in right-center field. Outfielder Andres Torres failed to cut the ball off and it rolled to the wall, allowing the slow-footed Mathis to score.

Escobar followed with a single to right center to plate Johnson and give Toronto a 2-0 lead.

Recalled from Triple-A Buffalo prior to the game, Jeremy Hefner (0-1) worked five solid innings in relief of Miguel Batista. The 41-year-old starter exited the contest after two innings with lower back discomfort.

GAME NOTEBOOK: After receiving an early exit in Friday's game, Mets star third baseman David Wright sat out Saturday's afternoon tilt as he dealt with flu-like symptoms. ... Toronto left-hander Evan Crawford is listed as day-to-day with lower back spasms. Crawford left Friday's game in the eighth inning with the issue. ... Rajai Davis earned his second straight start over Colby Rasmus, who is batting just .203 with three homers and 14 RBIs this season. Davis went 0-for-3.
