Twins 7, Blue Jays 6: Rookie Darin Mastroianni drove in three runs in his second major-league game as Minnesota won the second of a four-game set at Target Field.

Mastroianni, who made his big-league debut Thursday, went 2-for-4 as the Twins avenged a loss in Thursday's series opener.

Toronto slugger Jose Bautista, mired in a season-long slump, hit two solo home runs for the Blue Jays.

Tied 2-2 in the fifth, the Twins erupted for four runs. After Josh Willingham doubled home Denard Span to give Minnesota a 3-2 lead, Chris Parmelee drew a bases-loaded walk and Mastroianni singled home two runs to put the Twins ahead 6-2.

The Blue Jays answered in the sixth as Bautista blasted his second homer of the game, his seventh of the season. After Edwin Encarnacion walked, Eric Thames hit a two-run homer to center to bring Toronto within 6-5.

Mastroianni gave the Twins some breathing room in the seventh, his single to left scoring pinch runner Erik Komatsu to put Minnesota ahead 7-5.

Bautista slugged a homer in the first, a solo shot to put the Blue Jays ahead 1-0. The lead did not last, as the Twins scored two runs on Ryan Doumit’s single to center in the bottom of the first.

Minnesota starter Nick Blackburn (1-4) gave up five runs on six hits in five innings. Matt Capps worked the ninth for his sixth save, getting Bautista to pop up to end the game.

Toronto starter Kyle Drabek (2-4) allowed three runs on four hits in 4 1/3 innings, walking four and striking out five.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The start was delayed 1 hour, 56 minutes by rain. … Mastroianni gunned down Colby Rasmus trying to stretch a single into a double. … Minnesota’s bullpen allowed just one run in four innings.
