Yankees 6, Mariners 3: CC Sabathia scattered three hits and struck out 10 in his 35th career complete game and Eric Chavez belted a two-run homer as New York snapped visiting Seattle's season-high seven-game winning streak.

Curtis Granderson had a two-run single and Robinson Cano and former Mariner Raul Ibanez added RBI singles for the Yankees, who posted their second straight win after dropping nine of their previous 13 contests. New York has won five of seven versus the Mariners this season.

Sabathia (11-3) retired his first 10 batters before Casper Wells deposited a belt-high fastball into the bullpen in left-center field in the fourth inning. The hefty lefty rebounded nicely by breezing into the ninth before yielding a two-run homer to Dustin Ackley.

Sabathia then retired his last three batters to record his eighth straight victory over Seattle.

After former Mariner Ichiro Suzuki extended his hitting streak to 10 games with an infield single, Russell Martin put a pair of runners in scoring position with a double to left-center. Granderson then lined a first-pitch fastball to right-center to give New York a 2-0 advantage.

Chavez gave the Yankees a 4-1 lead with two outs in the sixth inning after depositing a curveball from Kevin Millwood (4-9) off the top of the wall in right field for his 10th homer.

Chavez's blast extended the Yankees' streak to 21 consecutive home games with a homer - second-most in team history. The 1963 club went deep in 23 straight home contests.

Millwood fell to 1-2 versus New York this season after permitting four runs on nine hits in six innings.
