Red Sox 6, Rays 4:
David Ortiz continued his torrid start with three hits, including a go-ahead double in the sixth, as host Boston made it three straight wins over Tampa Bay.

Ortiz drove in Kevin Youkilis from first base with a shot off the center-field wall to give the Red Sox a 5-4 lead. The lifetime .262 hitter in April finished 3-for-4 and is hitting .444.

Boston's Cody Ross and Mike Aviles, and Tampa Bay's Luke Scott all homered for the second straight game.

Youkilis singled and Ortiz doubled to lead off the second before Ross sent Matt Moore's 0-1 pitch high over the Green Monster seats to give the Red Sox a 3-0 lead. Boston went ahead 4-0 when Kelly Shoppach doubled home Ortiz in the fourth.

Tampa Bay scored three runs in the fifth. Carlos Pena's two-run double came after he missed a three-run homer by inches down the right-field line and Evan Longoria knocked in Pena with a ground-rule double.

Red Sox starter Felix Doubront allowed four runs and nine hits, and departed after yielding a solo shot by Scott leading off the sixth to tie the game at 4-4.

Aviles, batting leadoff in place of the injured Jacoby Ellsbury, homered to center field in the seventh for the final run.

Vincente Padilla (1-0) pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings to earn his first victory as a Red Sox and Alfredo Aceves pitched a perfect ninth to earn his second save.

Moore (0-1) allowed six runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. He walked four and struck out five.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
All players and coaches wore No. 42 on Jackie Robinson Day. Sunday marked the 65th anniversary of Robinson becoming the first black to play in the major leagues. Ralph Branca, 86, Robinson's teammate on the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1947-53 and Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine's father-in-law, threw out the ceremonial first pitch. ... Monday’s series finale – on Patriots’ Day and Boston Marathon day in Massachusetts – will begin at 11:05 a.m. ET. ... The Red Sox called up Jason Repko from Triple-A Pawtucket on Sunday. He played center field and went 0-for-3, and made a nice sliding catch for the second out in the ninth.
