Mets 4, Orioles 3: Dillon Gee matched a career high with nine strikeouts in 7 1/3 solid innings and David Wright collected three hits - including an RBI double - as host New York completed a sweep of Baltimore.

Scott Hairston had an RBI double and scored a run and Mike Nickeas added an RBI single. The Mets extended their scoreless innings streak to a season-high 29 before Wilson Betemit belted a two-run homer into the upper deck in right field in the eighth.

The blast ended Baltimore's run of futility at 28 innings. The Orioles, who had six hits on Wednesday, mustered just 13 in the series.

After R.A. Dickey recorded his second straight one-hitter and Johan Santana tossed six shutout innings, Gee (5-5) followed in their footsteps. He allowed just one hit through seven innings and exited after allowing three hits to record his first win in five starts.

Bobby Parnell finished the eighth inning and Frank Francisco issued a bases-loaded walk in the ninth before inducing Brian Roberts to ground out to second base for his 17th save.

Nickeas opened the scoring in the fourth inning after depositing a first-pitch fastball from Brian Matusz (5-8) into right-center field. Adam Jones had the ball carom off the heel of his glove to allow Hairston to score.

Hairston doubled the advantage in the fifth after his ground-rule double plated Jordany Valdespin. Wright gave New York a 3-0 lead after he scored on Ike Davis' RBI groundout.

Matusz fell for the fourth time in five starts after permitting three runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wright extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a single in the first inning. ... The Mets tied the ticket price for this weekend's Subway Series with the game-time temperature of Wednesday's contest. It was 94 degrees at the start of the game, meaning the left field reserved seats will be down from the usual $115 - and field boxes will be cut from the traditional $136. ... Matusz recorded his first career base hit with a single in the third inning. He had been 0-for-7 before delivering a shot up the middle.
